James, a proud New Zealander and Welshman, gained a keen interest in Physiotherapy through his own personal experiences of injury through playing rugby at county level in Wales where his team Brecon RFC are Welsh champions. James understands the importance of maintenance of the bodies skeletal and muscular systems and has a wealth of knowledge on how to fulfil your potential, not only during the rehab setting but in high level, high stress situations.
James is from a military family and hopes to follow in his father’s footstep and continue the military legacy but also while furthering his passion for sport and health. James’ family have a motto and belief which he strongly applies to his assessment and rehabilitation of his patients:
“I choose to live by choice not by chance, to be motivated not manipulated, to be useful not used, make changes not excuses, to Excel and not compete, choose self-esteem not self-pity, choose to listen to my inner voice and those who wish to push me to my limit”
James’ personal determination to better himself every day translates to his practice and he relishes the opportunity to help his patients do the same. James has worked in many areas of Physiotherapy including Acute Respiratory, Neuro-Oncology, Elderly Rehabilitation and of course, his main passion, Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
