Andreas was extremely professional and client focussed. He sought to understand the problem and to find solutions that worked for me whilst working in partnership with my personal trainer to provide a cohesive approach and management to get me back to good health. A good physio is hard to find - a great one is a treasure! - Malachi Williams 2017
I would highly recommend All Things Physio. Andreas was very professional and knowledgeable. His assessment of my knee problem was very thorough and his explanations were very clear. He clearly is a confident and capable physiotherapist. He worked with me to build a training programme that was easy to understand and just right for my needs, and gave me lots of good ideas to work on. He has built up my confidence really well post-injury, I would highly recommend him as a great physio. Carina Owens 2017 (via Google)
Friendly, knowledgable and thorough physio in a welcoming clinic. My knee is stronger and pain-free! Highly recommended. Daniel O'Sullivan 2017 (via Google)
I cannot thank these people enough. Never thought I would be able to run a PB half marathon while suffering from an IT Band problem less than a week before my half. A few simple exercises and some ( a little sore) physio manoeuvres and pain is gone! Incredible ! Laura Gillen 2016 (via Facebook)
As we approach end stage rehab with our ACL patients it is important we expose them to as much stress as possible through the operated knee.
Here we are using lateral and rotational reaches with the opposite foot and a dumbbell to really challenge the stability of the knee by taking it through positions that the ACL can be more vulnerable in.
Through training these positions we can significantly improve the control at the knee as we look towards becoming stronger and fitter than pre-injury.
Are you training to avoid movements or control them?
Following an #ACL injury the recovering knee needs to go through the multidirectional stresses it will be subjected to on the field of play for a successful return to sport.
Adding the box element to these multidirectional hops increases the power demand in all three planes of motion when hopping onto the box whilst also increasing the deceleration forces acting on the knee as you land back on the floor.
ACL injuries often occur due to an inability to decelerate the knee effectively allowing it to fall inward under speed and load.
